Renowned Bosnian-Herzegovinian photojournalist Haris Memija opened the exhibition “Photos from distant China” in the Hanikah of Gazi Husrev-beg's Madrasa in Sarajevo, which visitors can view until October 10, writes NAP.
The photographs were taken during Memija's recent visit to China and depict life in Beijing and Shanghai, as well as some of the landmarks of these Chinese cities. Among the photographs is a picture of the old Niujie Mosque.
The Sarajevo exhibition opened on Saturday, October 1, which is celebrated as the National Day of the People's Republic of China.
Memija said he hopes this exhibition will bridge the distance between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the opening of the exhibition, the Ambassador of China to BiH Chen Bo and the former Ambassador of BiH to China Amel Kovačević spoke, writes NAP.
