Memić at the BiH Prosecutor's Office: Investigation into Dženan Memić's murder expected to open

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Muriz Memić, the father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, held a meeting today with his lawyer Ifet Feraget and acting Chief State Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić. The meeting was also attended by prosecutors Dubravko Čampara and Ćazim Hasanspahić.

After the meeting, Memić told Patria that the meeting was open, and that regarding the murder, an investigation has not yet been opened, but certain actions are being taken. If necessary, more prosecutors will join the Čampara-Hasanspahić prosecution team.

"I got the impression that work is being done, and seriously. Everyone is aware that both the Dženan Memić and David Dragičević cases are under the scrutiny of the European Commission," said Memić.

Prosecutor Ozrenka Nešković is working on the Dragičević case.

At the beginning of December, the trial of Zijad Mutap, Alisa Mutap-Ramić, Hasan Dupovac, Josip Barić, and Muamer Ožegović is expected to continue, and Muriz Memić will appear again as a witness to be cross-examined by the defense of the accused. They are accused of organized crime, specifically fabricating evidence and concealing the cause of Dženan Memić's death.
