SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Muriz Memić and Jako Testen, representing the associations "Dženan Memić" and "Put Pravde" (Path of Justice), today submitted a request for the dismissal of VSTV President Milan Tegeltija and all VSTV members.
Muriz Memić, the father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, whose death has not been solved even after five years, said that the reasons for the resignation request are known to all citizens.
"It is corruption in the judiciary. This is not the first time the VSTV president has behaved criminally; it is our duty to stop them. My primary request is the resignation of Tegeltija and the entire VSTV. Now I am addressing Milan: Milan, when you speak, it is very difficult to understand you, you are deceiving the people. You received me and my lawyer Ifet Feraget, my lawyer spoke to you for two hours with facts, and you immediately appointed Dalida Burzić as a judge of the Court of BiH and resolved the disciplinary proceedings. The Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor is a joke, Milan Tegeltija appoints them. Milan Tegeltija is a very corrupt man, I blame him for the entire situation in the judiciary, and the other members who support him. They should have solved the murders of Dženan and David, and the non-treatment of Nadin Smajlović long ago. Milorad Dodik immediately jumped to protect, he resorts to nationalism, this is not nationalism, Milorade, people from Banja Luka are here. He is not threatened, he is defending. Davor is threatened, Davor had to flee because of the situation in the judiciary. Milan Tegeltija will be dismissed," said Memić.
Janko Testen from the association Put pravde Banja Luka said that they originated from the informal group Pravda za Davida (Justice for David).
"For three years, we, and for five years Muriz, have been struggling to show, to prove, and then they pursue and accuse us for bringing evidence instead of pursuing the thieves who are protected by the VSTV, the police, and the Prosecutor's Office. This is a great shame for our country. Half of Banja Luka and half of Sarajevo know who killed David and Dženan. It is not our job to say on camera who killed whom," said Testen, calling on VSTV members to resign.
Memić said that large protests will be organized as soon as the opportunity arises.
Amina Smajlović, the mother of the minor girl Nadin Smajlović, whose case was dismissed by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office after a year of criminal complaint stating there were no elements of a crime, also came to the building of judicial institutions today.
"The child was publicly rejected in front of the audience, a child who was not provided with healthcare and who should have received urgent assistance, and they refused it. When we filed a lawsuit, the Prosecutor's Office, after a year, said there was no criminal offense. And then this is a clear example of who is running our judiciary and what kind of prosecutors are working, especially on the case of a minor child. Prosecutor Sanela Škaljić, under the patronage of Sabina Sarajlija, made the decision that there was no criminal offense. The VSTV is the conductor of the orchestra of what we have in the Canton and in the FBiH," said Smajlović.
