Mektić: Security sector has no confidence in BiH Prosecutor's Office and Chief Prosecutor

SARAJevo, (Patria) - BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić was questioned this morning at the BiH Prosecutor's Office due to information he presented that Croatia is recruiting Wahhabis in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Upon leaving the BiH Prosecutor's Office, he stated that the essence is not to determine what actually happened.

"The essence is to protect friendly-kinship ties between certain prosecutors and the actors in this story. If the Prosecutor's Office had the intention, it would participate in every case. Everything I said, I confirm," Mektić said.

As he stated, among other things, the role of the intelligence service is not only to collect information and data but to prevent and thwart any attempt by any foreign intelligence service to penetrate BiH in an intelligence sense.

Mektić said that the discussion also included the Croatian Consul General in Tuzla, Ivan Bandić, as well as journalist Mato Đaković, who was driving a car with diplomatic plates belonging to the Croatian consulate.

"I said that I have information and that I have seen certain photos where Mato Đaković was driving that vehicle a few months ago. He says he took the vehicle from Bandić, he did take it, he transferred it yesterday when it all came out. No one is allowed to sit in a diplomatic vehicle except an authorized diplomat. A diplomatic vehicle is treated in a certain way as the territory of that country. And you let Mato Đaković drive a diplomatic vehicle, so he can do whatever he wants in it, however he wants," Mektić said.

Mektić stated that the security sector has no confidence in this Prosecutor's Office and Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić.

We remind you that journalist Mato Đaković and Deputy Security Minister Mijo Krešić are allegedly involved in the affair revealed by the portal Žurnal about the recruitment of Salafis by Croatian intelligence officers and diplomats. Both Đaković and Krešić are relatives of prosecutor Tadić.
