Mektić with NATO General Huston: "Srbska čast" represents a security challenge

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić spoke today in Sarajevo with the Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, General Robert Huston.

Minister Mektić, speaking about the security situation in BiH, emphasized that it is complicated by constant political crises as well as inflammatory rhetoric.

- The problem is that the judicial system does not function and there is no rule of law - Mektić said.

He informed Huston about the security challenges posed by the group "Srbska čast" and the measures that security agencies are taking in the fight against extremism and terrorism.

Commander Huston stated that he has full confidence in the Ministry of Security of BiH and that he is very satisfied with the way security for all citizens in BiH is being maintained. He also positively assessed the organization of the civil NATO exercise in Tuzla, emphasizing that it could be a model for future exercises.
