Mektić did not give approval, Stefanović defends himself and claims: Police exercise does not threaten BiH sovereignty

Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia Nebojša Stefanović stated that the joint exercise of the police of the Republic of Serbia and the Republika Srpska will be held on the territory of Serbia and that it in no way threatens the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced from Stefanović's cabinet, reports the Patria news agency.

-The only goal is for our police to show strength and training in the fight against terrorism and readiness to respond to all security challenges. Anyone who tries to cause any disagreements regarding the planned exercise and wants to talk about it in a negative way, I can freely say, has no good intentions.

The police of the Republika Srpska are welcome on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and we will allow the arrival of its members, in order to hold a joint exercise of our units, Stefanović stated in a written statement.

If the only goal of the joint exercise, which will "demonstrate readiness to fight terrorism," is really that, why did the neighboring country not arrange for the SIPA Special Unit, which has its own anti-terrorist team, to be included, but it was bypassed just like in 2013? 

If everything is really "clean" as Minister Stefanović claims, why was the initial communication between Serbian and BiH border guards at the level of commanders!? Does such an important exercise not deserve communication at the highest, state level? Why does the Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia bypass the Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić, and why would the Special Unit of the FMUP not join the joint anti-terrorist exercise alongside SIPA's special unit? 

In that case, one could believe Minister Stefanović, who now, with his statement about "someone's ill will and causing disagreements," is trying to shift responsibility for arrogant behavior and violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state of BiH into someone else's yard. 

And finally, if everything were clean, Minister Stefanović would not be defending himself.
