
Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey Cihad Erginay assessed at today's meeting in Sarajevo that the fight against terrorism is one of the main priorities in the cooperation of the security agencies of the two countries, it was announced from this ministry, reports the news agency Patria.
Given that we are facing the same threat and challenges, BiH is completely open to cooperation when it comes to the fight against terrorism, said Mektić, proposing the strengthening of cooperation between police agencies through joint training. It was emphasized that the exchange of information between the two countries is extremely good, which has also resulted in joint actions against individuals who participated in the Syrian battlefield.
During the meeting, Ambassador Erginay emphasized that preserving stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina is extremely important for Turkey, assessing that the current government has achieved great results in a very short period.
Mektić emphasized that the Ministry of Security and the Council of Ministers of BiH remain committed to fulfilling the reform agenda and bringing BiH closer to European integration, emphasizing that one of the important prerequisites on that path is also clearing up corruption, on which even more intensive work will be done in the coming period, the statement said.
