Medvedev: Zelenskyy is using a referendum on territories as an excuse to slow down negotiations

(Patria) - Volodymyr Zelenskyy "pointed a finger at the White House" when he proposed holding a referendum on the issue of territories as part of a peaceful solution in Ukraine, said the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, TASS reported.

"The drug addict Führer directly pointed a finger at the White House. Everyone understands that a territorial referendum in Ukraine will stop the negotiations. This is exactly what the Kyiv clown is looking for. How long will you tolerate this, America?", the Russian official wrote on his X social media profile.

Yesterday, Zelenskyy stated that the issue of territories should be put to a referendum as part of a peaceful solution in Ukraine.

Washington had previously proposed a 28-point plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The document caused dissatisfaction in Kyiv and among its European partners, who tried to significantly revise it.
