Medvedev: American support for Ukraine is nearing its end

(Patria) - Washington will soon stop providing support to Kyiv, as it spends too much and gets little or no benefit on the battlefield, said Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, TASS reported.

"American lawmakers are obstructing the funding of Israeli and Ukrainian military spending for this year. The reasons are technical and... not entirely technical," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

"While in the case of Israel the reason is obviously technical, as that country is more important to the US Congress than its own, everything is more complicated when it comes to the Ukrainian regime," Medvedev said, adding that "the United States easily writes off its henchmen when they become useless."

Medvedev predicts that this is exactly what will happen to Ukraine.

"The reason is not only that Republicans and Democrats are in conflict on the eve of the US presidential elections. They have simply had enough: these servants are consuming huge resources, theft is rampant, and nothing has been achieved on the battlefield," Medvedev writes.

"Also, the Israeli-Palestinian crisis has erupted. In short, support for this rogue on the loose is nearing its inevitable end," he added.

He admitted that Washington's support will not dry up overnight.

"More money will be wasted, more schizophrenic rhetoric about democracy, bombastic assurances of imminent victory, false promises of eternal allied relations, and so on and so forth will follow. But the situation is clear: the moment is approaching when another American puppet will sink into oblivion," claims the former Russian president and prime minister.
