(Patria) - The international operational action codenamed "Best" is underway.
Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, this morning (November 4, 2020), within the international operational action "Best", began searches of persons, residential and business premises, and movable property at a total of six locations in Zvornik due to grounds for suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "Organized Crime", in connection with the criminal offense under Article 189, "Human Smuggling", of the same law.
The operational action "Best" represents a continuation of coordinated activities carried out in cooperation with police officers of the Service for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, aimed at dismantling an organized criminal group that, from May to October 2020, smuggled migrants across the state border from the Republic of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
More information about the results of the operational action will be known after the execution of the orders of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
