
In this morning's operation, carried out based on orders from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and the War Crimes Prosecutor's Office of Serbia, 14 people (10 in BiH and 4 in Serbia) were arrested on suspicion of war crimes in Štrpci and Višegrad.
Among those arrested are Boban Inđić, commander of the intervention platoon of the Višegrad Brigade, Gojko Lukić, brother of war criminal Milan Lukić, and Luka Dragičević, commander of the Višegrad Brigade, the BH news agency Patria has learned.
As stated in the SIPA press release, O.P. (43), O.K. (51), P.I. (54), R.R. (45), M.N. (52), V.R. (64), D.L. (54), and N.P. (51) were arrested in Prijedor and Višegrad on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "War Crimes Against the Civilian Population" under Article 173 of the Criminal Code of BiH, in the area of Višegrad during 1993.
This operation was carried out based on regional cooperation and under pressure from the Hague Prosecutor's Office, 22 years after the abduction of passengers from a train in Štrpci, when at least 20 Bosniaks, citizens of Serbia and Montenegro, one Croat, and one person of Afro-Asian origin were killed on the train.
To date, the bodies of only three victims have been found, in Lake Perućac, and Nebojša Ranisavljević has been convicted for this crime.
Milan Lukić was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Hague Tribunal for crimes in Višegrad.
Another suspect for the crime in Štrpci, Branimir Savović, was not arrested in this operation, and according to Patria's information, he lives in Serbia.
