Media mogul Murdoch angers Twitter users: Muslims are responsible for terrorism!

Within an hour, thousands of users of the social network Twitter reacted to a tweet posted by Rupert Murdoch on this social network, regarding the terrorist attack on the editorial office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, in which 12 people were killed, reports the Patria News Agency.  

The tweet posted by Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch on Twitter, while preparations for the "March of Unity and Solidarity" were being finalized in France, stirred up social networks.

"Perhaps most Muslims are peace-loving, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible," Murdoch wrote, after which there were huge reactions.

The statement by Rupert Murdoch, who should be one of the greatest advocates for peace, unity, and harmony, met with fierce criticism due to its content directing towards racist and terrorist attacks and, especially, targeting Muslims.
Rupert Murdoch, who holds significant media power in his hands, primarily in Great Britain and the USA, has been criticized for years for broadcasting programs that fueled the war in Iraq.

Murdoch is at the top of the list of the richest people in the world, and his statement, which came out just a few hours before the start of the "March of Unity and Solidarity," which gathered French citizens on Sunday, was deemed very unfortunate.

In addition to not being in line with the spirit of the march, which was attended by the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, the presidents of two countries, and the prime ministers of eight countries, as well as ministers from a large number of countries, Rupert Murdoch's statement is also contrary to the statement of French President François Hollande, who stated that "the attacks have nothing to do with Islam".

Murdoch forgot that Ahmed Merabet, one of the police officers who lost his life in the attack, was a Muslim, and that he became a symbol of this unfortunate event because of it. The attacks have drawn reactions from the entire world, especially from the leaders of Islamic countries, and international public opinion has fiercely condemned this terrorist attack.
