(Patria) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) told Iranian President on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia will not allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military attack on Iran, Al Arabiya reported.
The United States has threatened to attack Iran in recent weeks following the brutal crackdown on anti-government protests across the country.
US President Donald Trump also ordered the deployment of an aircraft carrier and additional military assets to the region in preparation for a potential attack.
During a phone call, initiated by Masoud Pezeshkian, the Iranian President explained the latest developments in Iran, as well as the latest developments in the nuclear program negotiations.
The United States and Iran have occasionally discussed Iran's nuclear program, which Washington claims it destroyed last summer during attacks on three underground facilities in Iran.
"For its part, the Crown Prince emphasized during the call the Kingdom's stance on respecting the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and that the Kingdom will not allow the use of its airspace or territory in any military actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran or any attacks from any side, regardless of their destination," the summary of the call stated.
