(Patria) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) received a phone call on Sunday from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the official Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported, as cited by Al Arabiya.
During the call, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkey and discussed the latest regional and international developments, SPA stated.
They also addressed issues of mutual interest and efforts aimed at strengthening security and stability, the agency added.
According to the Turkish presidency, the talks included the situation in Yemen, and Erdogan told MBS that Turkey is "ready to contribute to efforts aimed at bringing the parties together".
Erdogan also said that Ankara is closely following developments in Yemen and Somalia, emphasizing that preserving the territorial integrity of both countries is vital for regional stability, according to his office. The phone call comes a day after Saudi Arabia invited factions from southern Yemen to attend a dialogue in Riyadh.
