Matviyenko: Russia advocates for transfer of power to entities in BiH

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko, addressing BiH parliamentarians today in Sarajevo, stated that Russia supports the transfer of power to BiH entities and the abolition of the Office of the High Representative.

Matviyenko stated that Russia is interested in expanding cooperation with the entities of BiH and the state as a whole. She also added that Russia advocates for the removal of the High Representative, because, as she emphasized, "his presence humiliates the peoples of BiH, who should rule the destiny of their country themselves."

Matviyenko accused the West of conducting a campaign against Russia.

The Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation called the past war in BiH a civil war, reports the Patria News Agency.
