We must never forget these names and May 27, 1992. Twenty-four years ago, Sarajevans were standing in the then Vase Miskina street, today's Ferhadija street, waiting in line for bread, writes the Patria News Agency.

Three shells were fired from Borija that morning. 26 people were killed and 108 were wounded. The images of the first Sarajevo massacre, committed by criminals from the hills who held the capital under siege, went around the world.

Even today, at the site of the massacre, family members and numerous delegations will lay flowers, and pay tribute to the murdered fellow citizens by reciting Fatiha and observing a minute of silence.
