
(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Mostar, on 07/14/2025, after receiving the decision of the Supreme Court of FBiH, issued a decision to detain Marko Šljivić for a period of 1 (one) month, to be calculated from the date and time of his arrest.
The decision of the Supreme Court of FBiH overturned the decision of the Cantonal Court in Mostar number 07 0 K 026936 25 Kv 2 of 06/27/2025 and returned the case to the first-instance court for a new decision.
Detention is ordered for the suspect due to well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of “Serious Offenses Against Public Traffic Safety” from Article 336, Paragraph 2, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the same Article, and in conjunction with the criminal offense of “Endangering Public Traffic” from Article 332, Paragraph 2, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on Article 146, Paragraph 1, point d) of the Criminal Procedure Code of FBiH.
He is suspected of causing the horrific traffic accident that occurred on May 31 in Ševaš Njive, between Mostar and Čapljina, when he was driving an Audi A4 while intoxicated. Earlier, the Court stated that he was under the influence of alcohol in the amount of 1.64 g/kg.
In the accident, Almin Crnalić (22), who was driving an Audi A3, and his passengers Enis Kurtović (22) and Dalila Žugor (20), all from Mostar, who were in the Audi A3, were killed.
Dževad Šuta, with his Fiat vehicle, also participated in this tragic accident that deeply disturbed the public. Just a few minutes before the accident, he had reported Šljivić's reckless driving to the police.
