
(Patria) - Police officers of the MUP of RS handed over the suspect Ikić Marko, born in 1963 in Kalesija, residing in Zvornik, a citizen of BiH, to the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
The mentioned suspect is under investigation in a case codenamed “Verona” and is suspected of organizing a criminal group and, together with other persons, participating in the illegal procurement of personal documents
of Bosnia and Herzegovina for members of organized crime structures from BiH and the region.
According to the collected data, the suspect and persons connected to him, through illegal means and based on forged documents, procured valid CIPS documents under other identities, which enabled perpetrators of criminal offenses to hide from warrants and searches by police and judicial agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries.
During searches conducted by order of the BiH Court, various documents, forms, and seals of different institutions and organizations were found with the suspect, which are presumed to have been used for the commission of criminal offenses.
After questioning the suspect, the acting prosecutor will make a decision on initiating a motion for pre-trial detention, as well as on further investigative actions and activities.
