Marija Šerifović to welcome the New Year 2024 in Zenica

(Patria) - Serbian singer Marija Šerifović will welcome the New Year 2024 with a concert in Zenica.

As the mayor of the city, Fuad Kasumović, stated at today's press conference, numerous citizens wished and expressed their desire for Marija Šerifović to perform on New Year's Eve.

"She is one of the biggest regional stars, and I am overjoyed that she accepted to be with us that night. This will surely be the biggest regional New Year's Eve celebration with Marija Šerifović, and I am particularly pleased that this is undoubtedly the wish of our fellow citizens," said Kasumović.

Šerifović pointed out that she received an invitation from the mayor of the city back in June to perform in Zenica for the New Year 2024.

"I was in Greece in June because I only had five days for a vacation. My phone rang, it wouldn't stop, and I didn't want to answer. The devil wouldn't leave me alone, someone was calling, but the phone kept ringing, so I answered...

The mayor was charming in our conversation, and I immediately reacted and passed your number to my associates, and we quickly reached an agreement. But, you don't know that the entire region is extremely jealous of you, the city, and the fact that I am in Zenica. Zenica will be the first city where I will hold a concert after the album release," stated Šerifović.

The City of Zenica is organizing a spectacular welcome to the New Year 2024 with the technical realization of Radio-Television Zenica. In a press release from the City of Zenica, they remind that the organization of New Year's Eve celebrations outdoors has been revived with the arrival of Fuad Kasumović as the mayor of Zenica, and that the “fourth largest city in the country had no program whatsoever on the craziest night, while the main square was empty and deserted”.

In addition to Marija Šerifović, Zenica's own Hanad Džehverović, a finalist of the popular competition "Zvezde Granda", will perform on Alija Izetbegović Square on New Year's Eve, and the traditional "Zenica Adventure" will also be organized, featuring a winter town and a rich program.

"Studengrad will open its gates in mid-December, and the festival program starts on December 23rd. The greatest joy will be the ice rink of 300 square meters, which will be operational at the beginning of December," announced Nandino Škrbić, director of RTV Zenica, who announced that the complete "Zenica Adventure" program will be presented soon.
