Children introduced to dangers of internet crime, unexploded ordnance...

The third day of the 13th Kid’s Festival was marked by educational workshops aimed at familiarizing children and their parents with the dangers of internet crime, unexploded ordnance, and risky behavior of traffic participants.

Representatives of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton and the main police command from Warsaw organized a joint workshop on children's safety on the internet, which represents a form of active fight against all forms of cybercrime as well as all harmful influences and consequences to which everyone, especially children as the most vulnerable part of the population, are exposed daily.

- We are impressed by the Kid’s festival and the cooperation with the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton. Many children visited the workshop and showed great interest in the content.  Following an invitation from the Embassy of Poland in Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in the Kid’s festival, our goal is to work with the community and children to highlight important safety sequences both on the internet and in everyday life on the street.

The police here work dedicatedly and we see that a lot of attention is paid to crime prevention and dangers for children, and they are very interactive with citizens and the local community, which is very important. On this occasion, I want to send a message to children and parents that there are many dangers on the internet and to be careful because both victims and those with malicious intentions are not anonymous, so constant vigilance is necessary - stated Marzena Koroazcuk Was, representative of the Polish police.

Today, the Embassy of Italy and the Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina presented their workshops and promotional stands to visitors of the Kid’s Festival.

Programs of the last day of the 13th Kid’s Festival will take place tomorrow from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Alija Izetbegović Square, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina Hall, and in the premises of the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
