(Patria) - At the 23rd session of the Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax, proposed by the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, was supported in the second committee phase and in the identical text as in the House of Representatives of the PSBiH.
The Committee requested an extension of the deadline from the Collegium of the House of Peoples of the PSBiH for submitting the report on the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement (P.Z.E.I.) in the second committee phase, which was proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH under an expedited procedure. The Committee will provide its opinion on this Proposal for Law after the Directorate for European Integration provides its opinion on the proposed amendments.
The Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Peoples of the PSBiH did not support the principles of the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions, proposed by the House of Representatives of the PSBiH. MP in the HoR of PSBiH Saša Magazinović announced after the session that Dušanka Majkić (SNSD), Marina Pendeš (HDZ) and Lidija Bradara (HDZ) voted against it, thus preventing the financing of elections regardless of whether the budget is adopted.
Due to the absence of the proposer, the Committee postponed the discussion on the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Excise Duties in BiH, in the first committee phase, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, to the next session.
Committee members adopted, within the scope of the Finance and Budget Committee, the Report on the Work of the Council of Ministers of BiH for 2020, specifically for the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, the Public Procurement Agency of BiH, and the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH. The Committee also adopted the Draft Budget of the Office of the Auditor General of BiH Institutions for 2022, as well as the Work Program with the Annual Audit Plan of the Office of the Auditor General of BiH Institutions for 2022.
The Report on the Work of the Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Peoples for 2021, and the Indicative Work Plan of the Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Peoples for 2022 were adopted.
