'Mothers of Srebrenica' at Dudaković trial: We will not support such work of the Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - The trial of Atif Dudaković and 15 other members of the Fifth Corps of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina continued before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the trial was also attended by members of the Association „Mothers of Srebrenica“.
Munira Subašić, president of „Mothers of Srebrenica“, pointed out that if one looks at the number of indicted Bosniaks recently and the content of the indictments, one can freely conclude that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has made a strategy to prosecute victims, i.e., Bosniaks.

„We, the victims, support that everyone who committed a crime should be held accountable, but then several thousand indictments should be raised against members of the Army of Republika Srpska because they had thousands of various „commanders“ and in doing so liquidated over 100,000 Bosniaks, and the number of those who have been held accountable is so small that it cannot even be expressed in percentages“, said Subašić.

She added that „all victims must have the same respect, and in no way should it be approached in a way that some victims are more valuable than others". She also stated that the Mothers of Srebrenica wonder who is playing the main role in the game to release the perpetrators of genocide, and punish the victims and defenders. She said that "Mothers of Srebrenica" will ask victims and families not to testify before a Court that insults victims with its verdicts.

„Thus it happens that for 15,000 killed Bosniaks in Sarajevo, two commanders of the Serbian army are held accountable, but for one person - a victim of Serbian nationality, at least two or more Bosniaks are held accountable. We, the victims of "Mothers of Srebrenica", will not support such work of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina“, said Subašić, who announced a trip to The Hague on July 18, where she will have a series of meetings, including with the Chief Prosecutor of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (MICT) Serge Brammertz.

Speaking about war criminals who have not been prosecuted, Subašić mentioned 22 generals and colonels.
