(Patria) - Hungarian election winner Peter Magyar yesterday again called on President Tamas Sulyok, an ally of former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and the country's top judge, to resign by May 31 - or be dismissed.
- We expect Orbán's puppets on strings to resign. May 31 is the deadline for them to resign. After that, we will use our mandate and legal options to dismiss them - Magyar said at a press conference.
He also announced proposals for new ministers, saying he proposes Andras Karman for Minister of Finance, Anita Orban for Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Istvan Kapitani for Minister of Economy and Energy.
He added that the government could take power after May 11, after taking the oath at the constitutive session of parliament on May 9 or 10.
Peter Magyar's center-right Tisza party achieved a dominant victory in the April 12 elections, ending the 16-year rule of right-wing Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
