Maglaj Library: Workshops for children and first promotions in mid-September

The Maglaj Public Library opened its doors to its users seven days ago, and readers are happy because they can finally borrow a book after a three-month break during the renovation, and also read daily and weekly press, writes the BH News Agency Patria. As director Nina Salkić stated, work is being done intensively on processing the received books and selection is being carried out.

- Although the works are still ongoing, our readers are very satisfied with how the library looks, and they often say it is more beautiful than before. We will start with workshops for children and the first book promotions in mid-September – says Salkić.

Otherwise, this library was known for its children's corner, and new books for the youngest are arriving every day.

- We were afraid we wouldn't have enough literature, but what is arriving is being processed and we are filling those shelves. They are, after all, the most loyal audience – said Salkić.

She particularly emphasized that books that were not previously in the library's collection have also been donated, and the biggest surprise is the special collections.

- These are very valuable donations. Rare books that fall into the domain of special collections and are hard to find, and we are truly grateful to everyone who donated them to us and to everyone who participated in any way in the collection and renovation of the Maglaj library – said Salkić.

The significance of the Public Library starting its operations is that the new school year begins in a few days and that the cultural life of Maglaj will be enriched. Only the "AB" art gallery has been renovated along with the library, while the "Pobjeda" sports hall is still awaiting renovation, writes Patria.
