Maglaj will not get an on-call pharmacy, doctor from the Health Center will call a pharmacist as needed

Residents of Maglaj will not get an on-call pharmacy where they can buy medicine at any time of day or night, although there has been such a need for a long time for the 6,500 people living in the municipality, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

As the mayor Mehmed Mustabašić told the Patria News Agency after talking with the director of the Public Institution "Narodna apoteka" (Public Pharmacy), it was established that the on-call doctor from the Health Center will call the on-call pharmacist as needed so that the patient can get the medicine.

When asked why this was not done in the case of the mother of a 19-month-old baby who got sick and needed medicine at midnight and was sent to Žepče, Mustabašić said he did not know, but that he would check.

Otherwise, Mustabašić emphasized that the director of the Public Institution "Narodna apoteka" is on sick leave, and that upon her return to work, the possibility of extending the pharmacy's operating hours to 24 hours will be reconsidered.

Otherwise, if this principle remains, it would mean that every resident of Maglaj must first go to the Health Center, even if they only need medicine for pain, fever...
