Magazinović: Is NATO more important than party staffing?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - While on one hand, at meetings with representatives of NATO and embassies, they promise accelerated registration of military property in BiH, on the other hand, by preventing the appointment of the state attorney, the Council of Ministers is blocking this process and causing BiH to fail to meet the remaining conditions, in order to take a step forward towards NATO, which they at least declaratively advocate for, stated SDP MP Saša Magazinović in the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He said that according to information from the BiH Council of Ministers, Chairman Denis Zvizdić removed the appointment of the state attorney and deputies from the agenda for the second time, explaining that technical harmonizations are needed.

"This is an irresponsible and superficial attempt to hide the real truth about another blockade happening within the institutions from the BiH public," said Magazinović.

"Due to internal party conflicts, a number of BiH institutions have acting heads, which blocks crucial processes for Bosnia and Herzegovina, work programs of certain institutions have not been adopted although it is the end of the year, and the overall atmosphere in both the Council of Ministers and the institutions is anything but reformist, as they try to explain to us," he added.

The President of the Main Board of SDP BiH and MP in the BiH Parliament, Saša Magazinović, believes that Chairman Zvizdić must explain to the public, as well as to the representatives of the international community, that the state attorney and deputies have not been appointed.

"The Council of Ministers, as well as the state as a whole, is becoming a hostage to petty party interests, as well as rifts within certain parties that form the government. I don't know if they understand, but with such moves, they are making a great effort to further undermine the international credibility of our country. Ultimately, let them finally answer us and the international representatives whether NATO or party staffing is more important to them?", states Magazinović.
