Mafia's end is near in Serbia, public action based on data from MUP's secret book

(Patria) - Based on operational and intelligence data, the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs has compiled a secret book listing the names of major and minor criminals. The data covers all 150 municipalities. The data is reportedly kept secret, but ruling Serbian Progressive Party officials do not hide that a number of their officials will also be targeted. This was indirectly confirmed by the Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin himself.

The book was created through painstaking work, detailing with corresponding evidence who is involved in what in every part of Serbia. It contains a huge number of names, and the list includes everyone from major players and mobsters, through businessmen and politicians, to local drug dealers, car thieves, loan sharks, and similar criminals.

- There is a list of persons of security interest in every municipality, and the police's task is to sanction them. They will fall for tax evasion, illegal construction, illegal possession of weapons, drug dealing... The only important thing is that these people are removed from the streets in accordance with the law," Vulin said.

Svetozar Vujačić, a lawyer and special advisor to Minister Vulin, expects a major police crackdown.

- Emphasis is placed on politicians and state officials, even SNS officials, and directors of large companies. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has a list of people from this world who will be brought to justice. It is a matter of days, if not weeks, when they will be prosecuted," said Vujačić.

The activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the ground will show how well everything is planned and whether the authorities' intentions to crack down on the mafia are sincere. It is certain that after the announcement, some of those involved in crime have the opportunity to remove some evidence, and reportedly some individuals who could be of interest to the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs have already intensified their visits to Republika Srpska.
