(Patria) - Pop singer Madonna has returned home and is feeling better after a serious bacterial infection that landed her in intensive care, the BBC has learned.
The 64-year-old singer was found unresponsive in New York on Saturday and was taken to intensive care, where she was reportedly intubated overnight.
Madonna's condition was so serious that her relatives were "preparing for the worst," a family member told the Daily Mail.
Her manager, Guy Oseary, announced that she is suffering from a "serious bacterial infection" and needs time to recover, so he postponed her tour, which was scheduled to begin in Vancouver on July 15.
"At this time, we need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour," Oseary wrote.
"We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and postponed concerts."
