(Patria) - Hungary will block the planned adoption of the 20th EU sanctions package against Russia, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.
"The EU's goal is to adopt the 20th sanctions package at tomorrow's Foreign Affairs Council. Hungary will block it," Szijjarto posted on X.
He added that Budapest will not allow the adoption of important decisions for Kyiv until Ukraine resumes the transit of oil to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline.
Slovakia and Hungary earlier warned that they could suspend electricity supplies to Ukraine if Kyiv does not resume the transportation of Russian oil via Druzhba.
