Macron: We will continue to pressure Moscow, the security of all of Europe is at stake

(Patria) - French President Emmanuel Macron sharply condemned the latest major Russian attack on Ukrainian energy and railway infrastructure.

In a post on the X platform, he promised that France would continue to support Kyiv in its search for peace.

"Russia is closing itself off on a path of escalation and is not seeking peace. I strongly condemn the massive strikes that targeted Ukraine last night, particularly its energy and railway infrastructure," Macron wrote yesterday afternoon.

He also announced a key meeting to be held next week.

"We must continue to pressure Russia to force it to choose peace. On Monday, I will travel to London to meet with the Ukrainian President, the British Prime Minister, and the German Chancellor, to assess the situation and ongoing negotiations within the framework of American mediation," says Macron.

He emphasized that Ukraine can count on France's "unwavering support" and that the so-called Coalition of the Willing is acting precisely with this goal.

"We will continue these efforts with the Americans to provide Ukraine with security guarantees, without which no strong and lasting peace will be possible. Because what is at stake in Ukraine is also the security of all of Europe," Macron concluded.

We remind you that on the night between Friday and Saturday, Russian forces carried out a powerful missile and drone attack on several Ukrainian cities. Explosions were heard in Poltava, Lutsk, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Bila Tserkva, among others.

Due to these attacks, Poland scrambled its fighter jets, and an air raid alert was mistakenly activated in the Polish province of Lublin.
