(Patria) - The "coalition of the willing" will be ready to begin its mission immediately after Russia and Ukraine reach a ceasefire agreement, French President Emmanuel Macron said at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer following a summit in London, TASS reported.
"We have a plan and we will be ready to implement it once the ceasefire is officially established," the French leader said.
"A coalition of thirty countries will help ensure compliance with the ceasefire in the air and at sea, and will also contribute to the rebuilding of the Ukrainian army."
He said the plans to aid Ukraine are not linked to the bilateral French-British military cooperation program, which includes the transformation of a joint brigade into an army corps of 50,000 soldiers.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Andrey Kelin told TASS that the
coalition of the willing, created by London and Paris, had turned into yet another gathering of friends of
Ukraine. The French-British summit held on July 10 was the 37th meeting between the two leaders and concluded Macron's state visit to the United Kingdom.
