Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač said that the MUP, in case of a possible request from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for the President of RS Milorad Dodik to give a statement regarding the investigation into Pavlović Bank and money laundering, will act in accordance with the law, reports the news agency Patria.
When asked by a BN TV journalist about Dodik's statement that he does not feel safe in Sarajevo and that he can only give a statement to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in Banja Luka, Lukač did not wish to comment, but emphasized that it is Dodik's right and that he knows what he will do in that case.
''The Ministry of Internal Affairs will act in accordance with the law and we will fulfill everything that the law prescribes in those situations,'' said Lukač.
Lukač says that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, if it needs to speak with the President of RS on any matter, can do so in Banja Luka or any other place.
''He is not someone who is hiding, he is a public figure, always available to everyone, and I think that, if there is any need, it can be done in a completely normal manner, in accordance with the law,'' Lukač told BN TV journalists in Banja Luka today.
