Lukač on Operation Transporter: There will be more arrested members of the RS MUP

(Patria) - In the police operation "Transporter" conducted by the RS MUP in cooperation with SIPA, the TK MUP and the KS MUP, nine people have been arrested, including the former advisor to the Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić, Bojan Cvijetić. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the RS, Dragan Lukač, said that an inspector of the RS MUP has also been arrested.

“This morning, one of our inspectors who had been suspended earlier was arrested. What is even worse, according to some information we have, he will certainly not be the only one; there will be more in the coming period. We have started to 'clean the trash from our own doorstep,' as the saying goes,” Lukač said.

He also called on other agencies to do the same, especially in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.

“All members of the MUP who have any connection to assisting criminals, cooperating with them, or in any other way participating in the commission of criminal acts or helping criminals will be arrested. No one will be forgiven and nothing will be covered up. I tell them this way to prepare because we will uncover them. First, we want to clean our own doorstep, then the entire RS, because we must fight against the most serious criminal acts, which are certainly organized crime and drug abuse,” Lukač said.

Searches are being conducted at 20 locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The operation is being carried out by orders of the Court of BiH and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
