Lukač continues purges in the police

Dragan Lukač, Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska, has dismissed Zoran Mandić from the position of Chief of the Criminal Police Directorate of the MUP RS, ATV reports, as carried by the news agency Patria.

It is not yet known who will be appointed in Mandić's place, nor to which position he will go.

According to ATV, in addition to Mandić, the Chief of the Prijedor Police Department, Vojislav Pelkić, has also been dismissed.

Several days ago, Dragan Lukač visited the Prijedor Police Department, where the results of that Center were discussed.

This continues the dismissals in the RS police force.

ATV previously reported that Mladen Marić was also dismissed from the position of Chief of the Banja Luka Police Department.

He has been replaced by Boško Pandža, who previously worked in the Internal Control unit of the Banja Luka Police Department.

Mladen Marić, who was Chief of the Banja Luka Police Department for three years, is expected to serve as Deputy Chief of the Police Directorate of the MUP RS.

Lukač earlier appointed Dragan Jevđenić as Chief of the Police Directorate of the MUP RS.

Jevđenić was appointed to this position replacing Darko Ćulum, who was appointed Deputy Director of the RS Police several days ago, as confirmed to ATV by the MUP RS.

Jevđenić was previously Chief of the Organized Crime Unit within the Criminal Police Directorate of the MUP RS.

He held that position for three years, and prior to that, he was a commander of police stations in Banja Luka for 12 years.
