Poor Students Are Leading Bosniaks, The State Pays The Price

By Ernad Metaj

One of the greatest Islamic poets, Rumi, wrote that "calling should not be at the expense of knowledge." How much do those whom Bosniaks trust today know and are pushed to lead the country is shown by their support for a director with a questionable diploma, and even more so by the statement of one of them at a protest: "I gathered here today in my personal capacity." In folk terms, one might say that he doesn't know if he's coming or going, but he knew how to hire his wife at the Health Insurance Fund, defending it, among other things, with the claim that 95 percent of people in the funds were hired without a competition.

Knowledge among Bosniaks has long been pushed to the background; the suitable have taken precedence over the capable, and they cover their lack of knowledge with noise. It is clear why we have a lot of noise on the political scene, from which only those who make noise and those they defend benefit. They are all patriots and all fight for BiH, their pockets are filled, and they do not feel the price increases that will cause people to eat less and less.

The latest events have completely exposed the reality that Bosniaks, as well as the entire country, are led by poor students. For them, "decay" is a natural state, so they are not even aware that they act as a natural disaster on society. The country is not defended by protests of support for those suspected of committing crimes; this only undermines the judicial system and provides an alibi for those who deny the verdicts of the international war crimes tribunal.

Last year, in an interview, Professor Mensur Husić of the Faculty of Philosophy in Tuzla correctly stated that instant diplomas, obtained overnight, are a conspiracy against Bosniaks. What was not said is that Bosniaks are largely working against themselves. In the post-war period, they largely controlled educational processes in BiH, and the results proved devastating for the country and society. Serbs and Croats pushed this a bit by opening the doors of their private faculties to Bosniaks "hungry for diplomas." Thus, they got interlocutors who have titles but lack knowledge. Even the "first among Bosniaks" is questionable, which could also explain the unprecedented arrogance and audacity.

The irresponsible masked themselves with faith in God, forgetting that not everything can and should be attributed solely to going to the mosque. The first and most important obligation in Islam is to learn, and this, of course, does not only include obligatory prayers. They also misused veterans by installing their own clones in their organizations who developed private businesses through grants. Some have become so arrogant that even the corrupt judiciary could no longer turn a blind eye.

The more wealthy Bosniaks there are, the less of a state there is. There is less and less hope that things will be different in the future, because those who are the alternative have not shown knowledge, even though they have come up with as many as two ministries of education. Individuals have become ministers, they have gained titles, and we have learned that knowledge is still sitting on the reserve bench. The wind may have blown away some ministers' diplomas, but the devil has long since stopped joking.
