Love troubles: Man from Banja Luka chased girl with a knife because she cheated on him with a friend

The romance of two girls from Budva and Bar nearly ended in tragedy when, at the beginning of last week, A. Ž. (26) from Banja Luka chased two friends with a knife through Budva, Vijesti.me reported, as carried by the Patria news agency.

A.Ž. grabbed a knife when he learned that his girlfriend had left him because she entered into a relationship with a same-sex person.

The love troubles of the man from Banja Luka were further fueled by alcohol, after which he decided to take a knife and harm the two girls. The serious incident occurred in a bakery near the police station in Budva, where the young man met the girls.

In the bakery, a heated argument first broke out between A.Ž. and his ex-girlfriend, in which her friend also became involved.

The enraged young man, as witnesses recounted, first slapped the girls, then pulled a knife from his pocket, brandishing it and threatening to kill them. Seeing that the situation had gotten out of hand, the girls ran out of the bakery and fled towards the police station, calling for help.

A more serious incident or tragedy was prevented by police officers, who ran out of the building, then easily and quickly subdued the young man and took away his knife. A.Ž. was ordered into one-month custody.
