Lendo visits the largest association of Bosniaks in Turkey

(Patria) - Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Refik Lendo visited the association "Turkey–Bosnia–Sandžak", the largest association of Bosniaks in Turkey, located in the Bayrampaşa municipality.

During the meeting with the President of the Association Muhammed Sancaktar, discussions were held on support for youth, student scholarship programs, cultural events, humanitarian activities, and projects connecting Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sandžak, and Turkey.



Lendo emphasized the significance of the Association's work, recalling that it played a key role in sheltering Bosniak refugees during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in preserving the cultural and national identity of Bosniaks in Turkey.

To date, the Association has provided assistance to over 30,000 refugees, sponsored a large number of students, and implemented projects of social importance.

- This visit confirms the long-standing friendship and cooperation between our communities. The association 'Turkey–Bosnia–Sandžak' represents a bridge connecting our peoples and preserving the cultural identity of Bosniaks in Turkey - Lendo emphasized.

As part of his stay in Istanbul, Lendo also visited the Bayrampaşa Municipality, where he discussed with Deputy Mayor Mehmet Demirok opportunities for strengthening cooperation in the areas of urban development, infrastructure, education, and social programs.



Special emphasis was placed on exchanging experiences and improving cooperation between local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Istanbul.

The visit further confirms the strong ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosniaks in Turkey and opens space for the implementation of joint projects in the future.
