Fake volunteers asking citizens for money for soup kitchens

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Based on reports from citizens from the municipalities of Centar and Stari Grad that individuals claiming to be volunteers for Sarajevo Canton soup kitchens have been coming to their doors asking for financial assistance for these kitchens, the management of the "Stari Grad" People's Kitchen wants to warn its fellow citizens that these are classic fraudsters.

- We want to point out to our fellow citizens that none of the six public/people's kitchens operating in the Sarajevo Canton have volunteers who collect money from citizens in their name, supposedly for the work of these kitchens. Our citizens should know that public/people's kitchens in this canton are financed by funds from the budget of the Sarajevo Canton, as well as donations from the budget of the City of Sarajevo, city municipalities, and the goodwill of our donors, so we have no need to send anyone to collect money in our name, nor do public/people's kitchens do so, and we distance ourselves from such actions.

If such individuals come to someone's address with such a request, they should know that they are dealing with classic fraudsters and should immediately report such fraudsters to the Ministry of Internal Affairs at number 122 - explained Zilha Šeta, manager of the "Stari Grad" People's Kitchen.
