It is a lie that Turkey delivers weapons to terrorists from the Federation of BiH!

The claims published in an article in the daily newspaper Glas Srpske in the issue of 12.01.2015, according to which weapons and ammunition purchased by some Turkish companies in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are delivered to radical Islamic terrorist groups, are untrue, reports the Patria News Agency.

 

As is known, articles with similar content have been published in the same newspaper at certain intervals since 2013, and our Embassy has denied them on several occasions. Claims like these, which do not reflect the truth, are incompatible with a professional journalistic reputation or with the principles of proper citizen information.

Turkey's clear and decisive stance in the fight against terrorism is well known. No terrorist or closely related organization has the support of the Turkish Government. Our country reacted in an extremely unambiguous way to the heinous terrorist attack in Paris on January 7th this year.

Within the close relations that Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina have, there is also long-term cooperation in the field of the defense industry, and from time to time products from Bosnia and Herzegovina are imported into Turkey. However, the imported products are by no means used in the manner described in the unfounded news published in Glas Srpske, it was announced from the Turkish Embassy in BiH.
