Lavrov confirmed: Negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine to continue today

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a press conference today, attended by foreign journalists, and confirmed the continuation of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations on ending the war in Ukraine.

"Our goal is to get rid of the Nazis in Ukraine," Lavrov said at the press conference, adding that negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian forces would be held today. He added that negotiations could be held "on the condition of equality".

"I am sure that our partners from the West will calm down and seek a solution through dialogue. The West should not decide on our security," Lavrov said.

"The West is trying to impose its own vision of the future of Europe on us," added the Russian head of diplomacy.

Compared America to Hitler

At the press conference, Lavrov compared America to the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

"America dictates to the Germans what is good for European energy security. They say they do not need the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and claim that America will ensure energy security, which is several times more expensive," said Lavrov.

"Napoleon and Hitler had the goal of putting the whole of Europe under their control. Now the Americans want to do the same," he said.

"In movies, you have a picture of absolute evil and absolute good. The global picture is similar. I believe the hysteria will stop," said Lavrov.
