(Patria) - Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated on Sunday that he received information about an alleged plot to carry out an attack similar to 9/11, with the intention of falsely blaming Iran for it.
"I heard that the remaining members of Epstein's network have devised a plot to create an incident similar to 9/11 to blame Iran for it," he posted on X, adding:
"Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes and is not at war with the American people".
He also stated that Tehran is acting in self-defense against what he described as attacks by the US and Israel, adding that Iran will respond strongly and decisively to punish those responsible.
