(Patria) - Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico today accepted the resignation of his advisor Miroslav Lajčák, after allegations emerged in the public that his name is mentioned in the documents of Jeffrey Epstein.
- I haven't seen so much hypocrisy in a long time - Fico said about the information that Lajčák's name is mentioned in the documents of American businessman and sex offender Epstein, reports Slovak Pravda.
Lajčak offered his resignation to the Slovak Prime Minister earlier today, and Fico accepted it, stating that "everything is being used to attack him", although Lajčak denied the allegations from Epstein's documents.
"Lajčak has once again proven himself to be a great diplomat, and I accept his offer to end our cooperation, although everyone, not just me, is losing an incredible source of experience in diplomacy and foreign policy," Fico stated in a press release.
