Labidi pleaded guilty, received one year in prison for fighting for ISIL

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Defendant Hamza Labidi (1998) pleaded guilty to the criminal offenses charged by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in its indictment dated 05/12/2020.

In the presence of his lawyer, defendant Hamza Labidi, born in 1998 in Zavidovići, signed a plea agreement and fully admitted guilt for the criminal offense stated in the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

The agreement was concluded at the proposal of the defense, after plea negotiations. In accordance with the agreement, a prison sentence of 1 year was proposed for the defendant.

The proposed sentence is in line with the defendant's role and responsibility in committing the criminal offense. The defendant is accused of having, as a minor, gone with his family to the territory of Syria and Iraq, where he stayed for several years, and participated in foreign paramilitary or paramilitary formations within the so-called "Isil", which was declared a terrorist organization by the Security Council.

The agreement has been forwarded to the Court of BiH, which has accepted it.
