(Patria) - Regarding yesterday's unrest across the north of Kosovo, Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced himself late last night on Facebook.
"Criminal groups have intensified attacks in the north of Kosovo. They know their end is near. The Government of Kosovo will neither bargain with them nor tolerate them. The bombs they throw, the bullets they fire, and the masks they wear are their political and popular impotence. Due to these crimes and armed attacks, we will certainly have more Kosovo police north of the Ibar. An investigation will be conducted and these criminals, paid by Serbia and directed by its president, will be prosecuted.
Numerous violations of the law will not be forgiven, and tendencies of criminal destabilization will fail. In the four municipalities in the north, the division is not between Serbs and Albanians, but between criminal gangs and citizens. I ask all citizens of Kosovo to support the state and the police of Kosovo, as well as all our officials who defend constitutionality and legality, the republic and democracy," Kurti wrote.
During Tuesday, there was a wave of violence across the north of Kosovo, where Serbs predominantly live. Explosions, detonations, air raid sirens, attacks on police officers, and the blocking of the electoral process, which Pristina wants to implement and which official Belgrade opposes, were recorded.
