Kuleba 'shocked' that the United States has not yet adopted aid package for Ukraine

(Patria) - Ukraine said on Tuesday it was shocked that the United States had not yet approved a new package of war aid, AFP reported.

The $60 billion aid package has been held up for months in the House of Representatives
of the US Congress, as Republicans insist that new funds be linked to more action against illegal immigration.

"What is really important and what shocks us is that the decision has not yet been adopted," said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at an online briefing for foreign media.

"We are approaching the end of March, and discussions, considerations of issues of vital interest, strategic interest of the US in Europe, continue," Kuleba said.

His comments come a day after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a swift decision by Congress was "critically important" during a meeting with US Senator Lindsey Graham.

Ukrainian troops have reported ammunition shortages as a result of the delays, while Russian forces
are advancing along parts of the front line.
