A group of unknown attackers shot at tourists visiting the Naryn-Kala fortress in Derbent in the North Caucasus, reports the Patria News Agency.
According to Russia Today, the attack occurred while a group of about twenty tourists were viewing the fortress terrace. According to initial information, one person was killed and ten were injured.
Police found 67 shell casings of various calibers at the crime scene. It is reported that the attackers shot at the tourists from a nearby forest, writes Index.
