Circle 99: According to Schmidt, apartheid and achieving the goals of the Joint Criminal Enterprise would create a 'successful' BiH

(Patria) - The Association of Independent Intellectuals Circle 99 sent an open letter to the member states of the Steering Board (SB) of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC) asking whether what the High Representative Christian Schmidt stated when asked about the potential federalization of BiH into three federal units according to the measures and ideas of the HDZ, is his new clumsiness or his personal stance, or is it the stance of the SB of the PIC?

"At the same time, we want to remind once again that the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in the 'Prlić et al.' verdict unequivocally established the existence of a joint criminal enterprise aimed at creating a mono-ethnic territory within Bosnia and Herzegovina with the ultimate intention of annexing part of Bosnia and Herzegovina to neighboring Croatia.

Who is High Representative Christian Schmidt counting on to get support for the policy of normalizing the abnormal in BiH, for the policy of adapting to disastrous solutions and creating a third entity, completely disregarding this ICTY verdict?

Support from secessionist ethno-nationalist forces will not be lacking, just as support will not be lacking from the generators of every crisis in BiH, which are persistently produced and supported with undiminished intensity from Serbia and Croatia.

But Schmidt is certainly expecting and lobbying for the support of European "stabilocrats", a complacent acceptance of the status quo, which is pushing Europe itself into an abyss of short-term, rotten compromises and a lack of determination to preserve its own values and civilizational paradigm.

Christian Schmidt, after the last session of the PIC, announces the alleged readiness of the international community to "work on adapting" this solution to the demands for a third entity and legitimate representation of the people.

He did this once in the night of suspending the Constitution of the Federation for 24 hours. A second time by intervening before the European Court of Human Rights, advocating against the protection of the active voting right of every citizen in the 'Kovačević' case, thereby completely negating democracy.

And a third time, he now apparently intends in the future to take away any vision of a free Bosnia and Herzegovina, without apartheid, denying an independent and sovereign state the right to democracy and the fight against any form of discrimination.

Schmidt certainly believes that he will "step by step" reach a solution against the state of BiH and easily succeed in getting the depressed public and tired, by definition, pro-state political actors used to it, and gently persuade them to agree to the goals of the convicted joint enterprise.

When Schmidt says that a civic Bosnia and Herzegovina would be unsuccessful, the logical conclusion is that, according to him, apartheid and the achievement of the goals of the JCE would create a 'successful' Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is inappropriate and dangerous for the stability and security of the state itself, as well as the entire region.

Especially today, when Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing the thirty-year destructive consequences of an imposed political experiment that negatively affects everyday normal life, demographics, and the economy, as it produces a state of apartheid, thereby denying the right to democracy and unimpeded social and state development.

We call on citizens to raise their voices and express their loyalty to the homeland, and on political actors to unite for the state on fundamental issues of the country in these difficult times. Our resistance must be commensurate with our human and political responsibility before the forces of darkness and despair," stated Circle 99 in the letter.
