Circle 99 condemns the monstrous attack on Sarajevo citizen Eli Tauber

Regarding the monstrous attack on Eli Tauber, advisor for culture and faith of the Jewish Community of BiH, Circle 99 expresses the strongest condemnation of this heinous act, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- Regardless of the fact that the motives for this attack, which was life-threatening for Tauber, have not yet been determined, the very environment – the heart of Baščaršija, and the presence of respected foreign journalists, give reason to suspect more far-reaching intentions of the perpetrator or those behind it.

Citizen Tauber must be guaranteed personal safety and unimpeded, free movement with all actors and in all public places, especially as a public figure. Responsibility for this lies with the security authorities, responsible for order and peace in public facilities, as well as necessary civic solidarity and self-protection.
