CRIME AND MURDER OF RADENKO BAŠIĆ: Another RS MoI police officer arrested

(Patria) - The BiH Prosecutor's Office and the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs are conducting activities in the Prijedor area in the fight against organized crime, corruption, and several serious criminal offenses.

A prosecutor from the BiH Prosecutor's Office is coordinating the activities of police officers from the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs, who are carrying out arrests and searches of three suspects in the Prijedor area.

The mentioned suspects, including a police officer from the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs, are linked to an organized criminal group being investigated for the aggravated murder of Radenko Bašić, head of the Prijedor criminal police, in March this year, as well as a series of serious criminal offenses related to drug trafficking and smuggling of narcotic drugs.

Given that an authorized official is among the suspects, the criminal offenses have elements of corruption and abuse of police resources for the commission of criminal offenses.

Following their arrest and criminal processing, the suspects will be handed over to the acting prosecutor, who will question the suspects in the presence of their lawyers and make a decision on further actions.
