Loan of 47.6 million euros for the construction of a subsection on Corridor 5C

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda and Director General of OPEC - International Fund for Agricultural Development (OFID) Suleiman Jasir Al-Herbish signed an agreement today on financing the construction of the subsection from Nemila to Donja Gračanica on Corridor 5C.

Bevanda emphasized that Corridor 5C is one of the most important state interests.

We are especially grateful to the leadership of OFID, which recognized the interest and need to be involved in the construction of the road on Corridor 5C. After a short delay due to the crisis in adopting the Excise Law, we have continued our cooperation - said Bevanda. 

Al-Herbish said that cooperation with BiH has always had a good reputation, emphasizing the importance of BiH's cooperation with OPEC. According to him, the agreement signed today is part of the cooperation established in 1997, and during that period, 12 projects in the public sector were supported. 

- Nearly 200 million dollars have been invested in education, housing, and transport, however, only eight percent in the transport sector. In the end, I would like to emphasize that the signing of these agreements speaks to how committed OFID is at all levels to cooperation with your country – stated Al-Herbish.
